Durham, N.C. – The Can-Am League unveiled its 2010 schedule on Tuesday, January 12. The six-team circuit will play a 94-game slate, with the regular season starting the final week of May and concluding on Monday, September 6.

The season will again be divided into two 47-game halves. The winner of each half, along with the two teams with the next-best overall records, will advance to the league playoffs.

The Brockton Rox begin their season on Friday, May 28 with a three-game home set against the Worcester Tornadoes. Other highlights of the schedule include the league’s newest member, Pittsfield, making its first appearance at Campanelli Stadium June 15 through 17. Also, the Rox will host Quebec in a four-game series June 29 through July 2, the first time the Capitales will have visited Brockton since the teams met in the 2009 Can-Am League playoffs.

Standard game times will remain the same as in 2009. Monday, Tuesday and Saturday home games will start at 6:05 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday home games will start at 7:05 p.m.; Sundays in May, June and September will start at 1:05 p.m.; and Sundays in July and August will start at 5:05 p.m. The game on Tuesday, July 13 will start at 12:00 p.m., while start times for Thursday, June 10; Tuesday, June 15 and Wednesday, June 16 are to be determined.

A full promotional schedule will be announced soon. Many popular events from previous seasons will return, including Kids Eat Free on Mondays, Thirsty Thursday, Friday Night Fireworks and Sunday Family Fun Days.
